As the Broker/Owner of ERA Grizzard Real Estate, Gus drives brand and agent growth through his leading-by-serving philosophy and focus on agent support and development. This practice has created an award winning, top producing, and nationally recognized team.
Gus began his Real Estate career in 1993 and purchased the company from his father in 2007. While the tumultuous market presented immense challenges, Gus looked past the hurdles and saw an opportunity for ambitious expansion.
Through strategic vision and steadfast leadership, Gus has grown ERA Grizzard into the #1 ERA company in Florida, a top 10 ERA company in the nation, and a nationally ranked company by RIS Media and Real Trends. ERA Grizzard received the Gene Francis Memorial Award, twice, for being the all-around top ERA Company in 2010 and 2011. With a recent expansion into Orange, Volusia, and Seminole Counties, ERA Grizzard boasts nine offices across Central Florida and a team of over 250 elite agents.
Gus currently serves on the National Advisory Council for ERA and the Board of Directors for Florida Realtors. He is the President of the Realtors Association of Lake and Sumter Counties (RALSC), the Marketing Forum Chair for Florida Realtors, the Communications Committee Chair for RALSC, a South Lake Chamber of Commerce Trustee, and is a member of the Florida Realtors Honor Society. He is a graduate of the ERA Leadership Academy, Florida Realtors Leadership Academy, and Leadership Lake County. Some of his proudest moments include obtaining his Certified Commercial Investment Member Designation (CCIM) in 1997 and serving three years in the Army with the 82nd Airborne.
Gus is an ardent believer in giving back to the community and is actively involved with the March of Dimes, MDA, The Wounded Warrior Project, and many local organizations.
When Gus is not leading the team, you can find him at University of Florida football games with his two charming daughters.
