Growing up a fifth-generation Floridian some of my fondest memories are of helping my grandparents remodel their investment properties. My grandfather (Pa Pa) was always buying and selling real estate and often holding mortgages on the homes he sold. Although he was not classically educated I considered him one of the savviest investors I've ever known. As a young girl, I would spend summers with my grandparents and it was always an adventure. From them, I learned everything from baiting my own hook to spotting a great investment. They always encouraged and nurtured my analytical and determined spirit. Pa Pa is no longer with us but those lessons still stick with me to this day today.
While at Leesburg High School I fell in love with drafting and design which led me to pursue a degree in computer-aided drafting and design. Although I enjoyed working in the engineering field I always looked back to those times with my grandfather and wondered if I could follow in his footsteps.
In 2006 I decided to take the plunge and left my position with the City of Leesburg communication department in order to start a career in real estate. I immediately fell in love with helping others achieve their real estate goals.
There have definitely been some big challenges, like balancing family and work life or adjusting to a strictly commission income but there have also been so many amazing highlights. I will never forget getting my first listing, the pride of being named Realtor of the Year by my peers, or seeing the big smile when someone purchases their first home. Another wonderful milestone in my real estate career was the day that my husband Kris Noland was able to join me full time and oversee the marketing duties of our business. Not only does this allow me to spend more time with him (Yay!) but also gives my sellers a marketing team dedicated to making sure their home looks amazing no matter where buyers are looking.
In short, I feel very blessed to be able to help others while spending time with my family and honoring the memory of my Pa Pa.
